“I wanted to…express my appreciation for the quality of your advocacy over the years. I found you to be thorough, effective, and fearless. I particularly appreciated the way you would put in the time, and dig deep into a file to collect and correct information. You always helped to provide the Board with the tools to make the best decision possible.”

Doug Hummell, Lawyer
Parole Board of Canada Member

“Diane’s oral submissions were excellent: logical and easy to understand…(she) could also think on her feet and present good, responsive arguments in response to concerns from tribunal members at administrative hearings…(her) written submissions were extremely thorough, structured and clearly written. She was able to compile and use large amounts of medical evidence, and demonstrated initiative and responsibility by ensuring that she understood this often complicated evidence…(Diane) has a great sense of humour and was fun to work with.”

Cynthia Pay, Lawyer
Parkdale Community Legal Services
1997 – 2016

“…you were always impeccably prepared; you made relevant points focusing on the legislation or our policy. Beyond that you did research on certain topics and brought that to the Board’s attention for us to consider. You were calm and rationale, gave the Board a lot to consider, but always in relation to the legislation or policy…your submissions were thoughtful and deserved our closest attention.”

Michael Crowley
Parole Board of Canada Member
